Greg entered this world screaming. He was handed to a student nurse to clean up
and she commented "I don't know what to do with him" as he kept screaming.
I ask Dr. Chaney "What's wrong with him". Dr. Chaney patted my hand and replied
"Brenda, with a set of lungs like that nothing can be wrong with him", Greg was
put in the nursery with 9 little girls and he was the only boy. At 1:30 in the morning
a nurse brought him into the room and put him in the bed with me. (He was born
in the time when the babies were kept in the nursery except during feeding time)
The nurse explained that he was keeping all the little girl awake so she brought
him into me. He hushed his crying immediately . I counted fingers and toes and
made all kinds of plans for his future. There were numerous times he veered from the plan but each time he did so he did so with enthusiasm just as he did
every thing in his life. He has made us proud to be his parents. I so greatly
miss his calls and sound of his laughter at the stories about mine and his dads
blunders and antics from nieces and nephews. He was a special son, man, friend.
